Protecting you privacy is considered one of our top priorities. Due to the nature of the investigations process, there are few things that we can guarantee, but your privacy and confidentiality is something we can guarantee! We will not compromise on protecting your confidentiality.
Every client should understand that the same confidence that applies to a doctor and a patient or an attorney and a client also applies to a private investigator and their clients. Private Investigators are not only bound by our personal code of ethics, but also the “Private Investigators Act” within the Business and Professions Code of the State of the California www.bsis.ca.gov/about_us/laws/piact.shtml.
Any and all photographic and physical evidence that we obtained during the course of our investigations is handled in accordance with the rules of evidence so that it can be used if the case ever goes to court. We have an evidence room and all evidence is entered into our evidence log book and stored under lock and key. (Refer to Photograph Below) Access to our evidence room is restricted to authorized staff members.
It’s also important for every client to understand that sensitive case information passed on to us in order to work the case, is maintained within our office and kept confidential by our staff. Field investigators are not given all case information, only what is needed to work the case. The information you provide to our company is used strictly to conduct the investigation. Our office computer system is firewall protected and your billing information is encrypted for your security.
Typically, we maintain our records for 7 years following the investigation before having the records professionally destroyed. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us immediately for clarification regarding our policies.
